Billy

Dr. William (Billy) Valentine is the Managing Director at Ossian. Billy founded Ossian in 2008 to focus on providing the highest quality health economic analyses and value communications to valued clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, and has overseen the development of the organization since then. He has over 20 years of experience in consulting on disease modeling, value communications and reimbursement submissions, with in-depth knowledge of a broad range of therapeutic areas, including particular expertise in diabetes and endocrinology.

Barney

Barnaby Hunt is a Senior Health Economist who specializes in disease modeling and cost-effectiveness analysis. After graduating in 2011, Barney joined Ossian and completed an MSc (Hons) in International Health Technology Assessment, Pricing and Reimbursement at the University of Sheffield. He has long-standing experience with a range of modeling techniques and in a number of therapeutic areas, including diabetes, obesity, oncology, cardiovascular disease, reproductive health and musculoskeletal disorders. Barney's growing list of publications (over 75 and counting) is testament to his expertise.

 
 

SAM

Samuel Malkin is a Senior Health Economist who joined the Ossian team in 2017. Sam has specialized in cost-effectiveness analysis and disease modeling across a wide range of therapy areas, including diabetes, coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, sickle cell disease, heart failure and renal failure. He completed an MSc (Hons) in Health Technology Assessment in 2020 and has performed economic evaluations to support multiple reimbursement submissions in a range of countries. Sam has also developed considerable experience in literature review methodology and has published more than 30 reviews and cost-effectiveness analyses in multiple country settings.

ALICE

Alice joined Ossian as a Health Economist in 2023. She holds a PhD in Sports Science (Dr. sc. med.) from the University of Basel and brings with her a multidisciplinary background in clinical research and public health, having led several clinical trials in the fields of preventive sports medicine and applied exercise physiology. Since joining Ossian, Alice has developed experience in health economic modeling, conducted several literature reviews, cost-effectiveness analyses, and developed multiple publications. Alice’s focus has been mainly in the diabetes therapeutic area but she has also worked in nephropathy and immunology.

 

JULIETTE

Juliette Cattin joined the Ossian team as a Health Economist in 2023. An economist by training, she has previously worked in pharmaceutical consulting, developing skills in statistics, data analysis and targeted communication. Since joining Ossian, Juliette has gained expertise in a range of health-economic modeling approaches, specializing in cost-effectiveness analysis of diabetes interventions. She has also conducted a number of literature reviews in different therapeutic areas and has developed strong medical writing skills through the preparation of technical reports and manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals.

Cassandra

Cassandra Martens has been the Office Manager at Ossian since 2017. After graduating from the Hotel Management School of Geneva, Cassandra started a career in international luxury hospitality. Having developed customer-facing expertise, Cassandra moved into an office management and business administration role, developing financial administration expertise and human resources management experience. Cassandra supports the team by ensuring the smooth running of the office and manages the financial and human resources side of the business.
